Water 4 Gas Hho Expo

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Today was the water 4 gas hho exposition. With a little more than a weeks notice I was able to polish up my water for gas powered blazer and attend the show. What a fantastic day it was, and a great learning experience. I was able to speak with a lot of like-minded people on the subject of generating hydrogen for improved fuel economy.

The turnout to the event was fairly light due to the recent falling of fuel prices. There were about 1500 people in attendance. Everybody I spoke with agreed that this recent pullback in gas prices is more than likely a temporary situation. This is the main reason that the event continued as planned.

The water4gas convention was held at the Manatee County public Fairgrounds in Palmetto Florida. This was extremely convenient for me because I live only about a half hour south of this location.

It was also great to see our county commissioners attend the event, along with Bay news nine Summer Smith. She is standing with her cammera man in front of an hho powered jet dragster.

Water for gas inventor

To me the highlight of the day was a short conversation with the water for gas founder Ozzie Freedom. There is no question that Ozzie is dedicated to improving the on-demand hydrogen systems. Mr. freedom drove his water for gas powered Volkswagen Jetta from California to southern Florida to attend this event. Ozzy’s Jetta is a rolling advertisement for his website.

Water4Gas Jetta

Water4Gas Jetta

The interesting thing is the side of his car says that he gets 60 miles per gallon with this vehicle. During our short conversation when he showed me his improved system. He stated that his trip from California yielded 73 miles per gallon. So he sold himself short, when he put 60 mpg on the side of his car. Keep in mind that this Jetta is diesel powered and gets close to 48 miles per gallon without any improvements installed.

As a member of the water 4 gas website. I asked Ozzie about the recent improvements to the members area. He stated that this was just the beginning and that all members should expect a completely revamped website, along with a new HHO forum as well as a certified marketplace to purchase either a complete water4gas kit or individual components.

You can visit Ozzy’s new water for gas website here. Also continue on to read the rest of this post to see more pictures from the hho games.

Electric vehicle conversion

Why electric vehicle conversion

The idea of an electric vehicle conversion has sidetracked me from my water4gas ongoing project. I’m hoping that this post will bring Bob back around to comment on the subject. But first let me start by telling you how this happened.

I live in the South East part of the United States. For the last three weeks we have been going through something that I have never seen in my entire life. Gas stations are out of fuel to pump. Long lines and high prices are breaking records in my area. In many cases, you can wait in a gas line for an hour or more only to be disappointed when you finally make it to the nozzle.

As I sat in line in my water for gas converted blazer, my overwhelming thought was. I don’t care how many miles per gallon I’m getting. I don’t want to buy fuel at all. The only way for me to accomplish this goal would be an electric vehicle conversion. Note I may not be the average citizen because my daily commute is less than 20 miles round trip. This makes me a perfect candidate to be behind the wheel of an electric vehicle.

electric vehicle conversionI would like to buy a Chevrolet Volt but this vehicle is 2 years away from production and will most likely be out of my price range. So I have acquired a 1987 Toyota pickup that will be the target of my first electric vehicle conversion. This is what I think will be the perfect platform to carry the batteries and also has room for the modifications required. I’m hoping that this post will attract readers that have experience at this conversion. And that they can provide some tips in the comments area.

I purchased an electric vehicle conversion guide (more…)

Water4gas Is Dead?

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

Is Water4gas dead or dying? Ozzie Freedom stated in a letter to members which I am one, that things are moving forward (You can read the letter from Ozzie at the end of this post). But to me it seems that the water 4 gas movement has lost its forward momentum mainly due to public interest waning because gas and oil prices have been pulling back lately. Human nature dictates once you pay $4.25 a gallon for regular that when the price pulls back to $3.50 a gallon this is conceived as a bargain.

Water4gas MAP sensor enhancerI am somewhat guilty of this myself. I have the water4gas system installed on my vehicle now for 2 months and still have not purchased the MAP sensor enhancer. I did take the scan gage unit out of my wife’s corolla and put it in my blazer to get a second opinion on the current results.

The scan gage confirmed my factory installed fuel trip computers reading of 21 mpg highway. This is up from the usual 15-16 mpg this truck usually receives. I have stopped using the system for city driving because the results are harder to track but it seems no improvement over my standard 15 mpg city is achieved by using it.

Water To Gas Troubles

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

water to gas imageI have the water 2 gas fuel heaters and my test hydrogen generating system installed on my 04 Blazer with a 4.3 L V-6. I have run my vehicle for the last four weeks and have some results to share with you. This water to gas post includes a progress update at the end and an explanation at the beginning.

Talking about water to gas can cause troubles. I have not posted to this blog in a little over a month. It is not because I didn’t have anything to say it’s because this blogs recent high traffic has also brought with it some problems.

Water to gas blogger is threatened

As you may know when you start a website your information is available publicly. Unless you pay extra to have this information hidden. I didn’t think that it was necessary, because I have no reason to hide from anyone. Well it is too late now but maybe I should have paid the extra money to keep my contact information private.

I received a series of calls threatening violence to my family and me if I did not remove this blog from the Internet. The callers claimed that they were trying to save the world from the water to gas products that have emerged. But in reality they were selling the water for gas stuff on their own website and my blog was getting in their way.

If there is one thing I value is my right to free speech! I did not remove my blog and continued to approve comments that were both for the water to gas products, and also the comments that were against the theory of hydrogen generation and products. Just because someone does not believe in the water to gas system does not give me the right to silence his or her opinion. Therefore if you look through (more…)

Water4gas Update

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

I have some results to share with you about the recent install of the water4gas fuel heater in my 04 Chevrolet Blazer. The results were not spectacular. After having the water for gas fuel heater design, installed on my truck for the last two weeks, and doing mostly city driving, a gain of only 1 to 2 miles per gallon was observed.

image of me and my toolsThis may seem like a very small gain and it is, but to me it is huge. The reason being is my 4.3 L engine has never received more than 15 miles per gallon in its three years of operation. For the first time, this truck has seen 16 and 17 miles per gallon with just the fuel heater installed.

As far as fuel heaters go the one I used is a fairly weak design. There are more advanced fuel heating units available such as the one pictured above. I will be investigating this one as well as other units made for heating diesel fuel.

I will also be moving the test hho generator I installed in my wife’s Toyota Corolla To my Chevy Blazer and begin testing this weekend. I went through you tube and watched many videos that were extremely motivational. Here are my 2 favorite short ones showing an advanced system and the very believable results.

Water For Gas Problems

Sunday, May 11th, 2008

I have received a lot of e-mail, and some great responses from my posts about the problems with the water for gas system. I have received many comments from highly educated experts in the chemistry field. I would like to thank these individuals for reading my posts and taking the time to provide their opinion on the water for gas system.

I would like to address two areas of the water for gas package in today’s Post. First I would like to talk briefly about the main part or component of the water for gas system. This is known as the hydrogen generator, and by far, has the most controversy surrounding it.

The hydrogen generator uses an electrolyzer to release the hydrogen from the distilled water and baking soda mixture. It seems that most educated people feel that this system is not worth the time to build. In fact, the chemists quoted units of energy used as opposed to units of energy created. While I am not a chemist, and I do respect their research on the subject, the electrolyzer seems to be the main reason that these chemists feel the (more…)

Water for gas scam part two

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

gas prices imagesI don’t want this to become water for gas blog, but my post from last week has brought a lot of e-mail questions and a few comments that I would like to answer. You can read last week’s post for more information about the problems with water4gas.

Is water for gas a scam?

The answer to this question depends on how you use your vehicle, and also what kind of vehicle you have. Without writing my own book about the subject, what it boils down to is if you have a four-cylinder car and have long highway commutes, this system is ideal for your application.

If you have a V-8 muscle car and do a lot of city driving than this system is not for you at all. Let me explain the above statement a little further. The water for gas system has an on/off switch and does not regulate the hydrogen fuel as related to throttle position or speed. The system operates best when the vehicle is operating at UN interrupted highway speeds. When the vehicle is at a stoplight or an idle condition you’re supposed to reach over and turn off the hydrogen generator.

So if you were in city traffic are getting stopped at multiple traffic lights. You would constantly be reaching over to turn on and off the water for gas system.

Next I will address why the water4gas system works better on a four-cylinder engine. The container recommended for (more…)

Water for gas scam?

water for gas scam image

Is water for gas a scam? The hottest debate in my automotive niche that I have ever seen is about the new water for gas product. With gas prices reaching record highs and digging deeply into everybody’s pocket, Naturally people are looking for answers. When the necessary task of driving up and back to work costs 15-30% of what you will make that day, People are willing to take a chance on things that may seem far-fetched.

Enter the water for gas scam

This product seems to take advantage of the current skyrocketing fuel prices and offers people the solutions to what they need most, which is better fuel economy. Me being a certified mechanic, and also suffering from high fuel prices, I couldn’t help but be curious about the water for gas system. So I purchased it!

Not only am I a certified mechanic, but I am also certified in alternative fuels. The water for gas product includes two e-books that explain how the system works and hooks you up with places to buy the parts to build your own on-demand hydrogen gas system. Yes I do believe that the books were well written and a lot of effort was put into creating them.

The system has a few problems, which I will discuss. I have collected the necessary parts and started to build my own system. The first thing I discovered is that (more…)
