I’m not convinced with bio fuels, I can remember about 3 years ago the price of food was rising due to land being turned over to growing crops for bio fuels. Don’t get me wrong we need to find a way to power cars but not at the cost food supply the poorer nations. In the UK all diesel now has to have a 5% blend but saying that if we went for electric cars there would still be a big carbon footprint for power stations. My opinion is we should work towards hydrogen cars.

There is a great difference between gasoline and diesel. And the need for using alternative fuels and using less oil is at an all time high. Bio fuel is a good idea but the reason that it is a rarely seen as an alternative is that it needs just about as much energy to create as the process for making fuel is.

Solar is a good source for electric cars but until they can make a better design with less cost than the energy needed for to create electricity in the first place.

But I do like the info you put down on alternative fuels.

Good difference explained between the diesel and gasoline. I feel bio diesels and other greener bio energy options should be tried to save the depleting natural oil resource. Bio ethenol is a good idea as a fuel, but this is rarely seen as an alternative to the petrol. Great resources such as solar can make a great difference.

As in whole a good piece of information about the alternatives of fuel.
