Mychal: We have about 10 2004 dodge ram 2500 with the Hemi V8 still operating in the fleet I work on. None have had transmission failures despite heavy off-road service ( they work in the drainage maintenance department). They do get transmission services every 30k miles. I personally have not heard of issues with the 04 Dodge 2500?

I am looking at a 2004 dodge ram 2500 quad cab with the 5.7 liter hemi V-8. I heard dodge had trouble with the transmissions going out early on these trucks around this time frame. Is this true and if so what is the problem with them.

Hi Mark
I'm converting a 22 seat turbo diesel bus with manual box and fitting a Chevy 350 with a R700 auto box.
Can I modify and use the large existing turbo intercooler as a transmission cooler and how critical is the mounting height of this in relationship to the transmission height in the vehicle?
Regards
